Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Clearance Required – Perimeter Patrol in El Segundo, CA. This role offers flexible hours within a security-focused environment and provides an opportunity to contribute to aerospace/defense site operations.

The position requires a DoD Secret Clearance, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work a fixed anchor shift with opportunities to pick up extra shifts. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law and policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a secured location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs and communications with leadership.

As a Security Officer - Clearance Required - Perimeter Patrol in El Segundo, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site requirements, visitor protocols, and applicable access‑control procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
