Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time security officer experience preferred.
• Must pass necessary qualifications to be appointed Special Officer by NYPD Commissioner.
• Must live within the five boroughs of NYC.
• Must meet TSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Report daily occurrences through the chain of command.
• Perform visitor access control and vetting procedures.
• Conduct searches of packages, bags, and belongings.
• Inspect museum entrances and perimeter for safety.
• Provide escort within the museum as needed.
