Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Business Facility Lobby Patrol in New York. The role involves standing guard at a premier commercial real estate location, monitoring access, patrolling interior and exterior areas, and delivering welcoming customer service to tenants and visitors.

The position is full-time with daytime shifts. Ideal candidates hold a New York Security Guard License and have at least 6 months of security experience, with a focus on professional conduct and incident

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas; identify and report security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and other security concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer - Business Facility Lobby Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to tenants and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a professional environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, and other security-related concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
