Allied Universal in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Building Patrol Inspection to provide a visible security presence, assist tenants and guests, and respond to emergencies as needed. This role emphasizes customer service, situational awareness, and adherence to site procedures.

The position offers weekend shifts (Sat and Sun, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with a pay rate of $15.30 per hour and the opportunity to grow within a leading security and facility services company.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management by following site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas, parking facilities, perimeters and exteriors to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and maintain professional communications with tenants and leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and/or exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
