Allied Universal® in Boston, MA is seeking a Security Officer Building Entry Desk to provide a professional front desk presence, manage access, and deliver excellent customer service at a healthcare location. The role operates on a full-time daytime schedule and offers the opportunity to join a leading security team.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted according to applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and supporting a professional front desk experience at a healthcare location.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records in accordance with site policies.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, greet guests, provide directions, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain awareness of front desk activities and report unusual conditions, access concerns, or other security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
