Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Operations in North Kingstown, RI. This role provides reliable, flexible hours with a six-month anchor shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will protect people and property, monitor access, issue badges, and respond to incidents with calm, professional communication. A valid background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

• 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Operations in North Kingstown, RI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles; issue visitor badges and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and document activities through required reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
