Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Badge Systems Coordinator in Sparks, NV. This full-time role offers a $19.50 hourly rate with an overnight schedule (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 11:00 PM–07:00 AM).

You will handle access control, credential verification, incident response, and routine patrols at a logistics site, keeping meticulous logs and reports to ensure security and safety.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access control and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle information.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking, loading docks, and perimeter.
• Maintain logs and shift documentation for access activity and incidents.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle information, and direct authorized traffic according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation for access activity, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
