Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Access Check Patrol Security Officer in Bronx, NY. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and patrol residential shelter sites to deter incidents and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and clients by following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and report to site personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization, reporting unauthorized persons or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs for incidents, patrols, and visitor activity.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to residents, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a residential shelter setting.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, corridors, stairwells, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred experience with access control and badge systems.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
