Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Vehicle Route Driver in Morganton, NC. You will provide customer service, conduct armed patrols, and monitor access while responding calmly to incidents and alarms.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license, armed guard card preferred, and a commitment to following site policies and safety regulations. Part-time schedule includes rotation of early shifts.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public service agencies when needed.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
