Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Swing Shift in Detroit, MI to protect clients in cultural institutions and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

The role requires a concealed carry permit, at least one year of security experience, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including nights. A high school diploma is required, with drug screening and background checks administered.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at cultural institution locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity and incident reports while following applicable laws, post orders, and Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Armed Swing Shiftin Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and community members. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to incidents with integrity. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possession of a valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
