Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer (Armed) in Huntsville, AL. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service in aerospace/defense locations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities and restricted areas to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support site entry procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs per Allied Universal requirements.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and support compliance with site entry, exit, and property-control procedures.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
