Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking Armed Security Professionals for external prisoner/arrestee transport in Florida. The Transportation Officer will safely move individuals between sites, ensure vehicle readiness, and maintain control of transport operations with strict adherence to laws and post orders.

The role requires at least 2 years of driving and security experience, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a Florida D license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Class D Security Officer License issued by the State of Florida
• Minimum of two years driving experience
• Experience in law enforcement, military police or corrections

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare transportation vehicles for daily operation; perform pre/post-trip inspections

• Operate vehicles safely, following all laws, policies and procedures
• Respond to emergencies and issue notifications per site Post Orders

Armed Security Professionals for External Prisoner/Arrestee Transport

Must have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Certified Law Enforcement Officer Civilian or Military or 2+ years Adult Corrections Will Qualify.

• Must be Able to Pass Allied and Client Background to include MVR for consideration.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Transportation Officer. The Transportation Officer is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of individuals from specified sites to designated points. The Transportation Officer will ensure that assigned vehicles are in safe and correct working order and that they are in complete control of the transport vehicles at all times, operating in a safe and legal manner.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare transportation vehicles for daily operation requirements; perform pre- and post-trip inspection of vehicles; fill out required paperwork to report any damage or defects
• Conduct pat-down searches; ensure that individuals are properly secured prior to leaving a facility, and while in a vehicle; ensure that all required paperwork is completed, accurately, and thoroughly when accepting individuals at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinations
• Safe operation of vehicles; ensure that all safety and legal measures are always followed while transporting individuals, including but not limited to all applications federal, state, municipal and organizational laws, regulations, policies and procedures
• Respond to emergencies and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current and valid driver's license
• Possess, or be able to obtain a Class D / Security Officer License Issued by the State of Florida
• Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Law enforcement
• Military Police
• Corrections
• Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly and accurately
• Active listening skills
• Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical Issues quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail; able to synthesize facts, concepts, principles
• Teamwork skills; able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

• Possession of a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License with a Passenger endorsement
• Fluency in multiple languages (reading, writing, and speaking)
