Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrols in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an armed security professional in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, interacting with the public, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires you to be attentive and responsive, contributing to a secure environment through teamwork and integrity. The position is designated as armed, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and care.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 05:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for unusual behavior.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to site protocols.
• Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Armed designation is required for this position.
• A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
