Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Trainee in Miami, FL. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to join a leading security and facility services team focused on safety and high-quality service.

Your duties include patrolling, responding to incidents, and maintaining a professional presence while documenting activities and coordinating with site contacts and responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site procedures and access protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document activity.
• Conduct armed patrols throughout the facility and identify unusual activity or policy violations.
• Monitor entry points and equipment zones, supporting authorized access and reporting hazards.
• Carry defensive equipment per Allied Universal policy while maintaining professional presence.

What You\'ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor entry points, sensitive areas, and equipment zones, helping to support authorized access and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
• Carry authorized defensive equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements while maintaining professional presence and following all applicable post orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
