Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card or License required.
• Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Services in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to emerging situations. You will engage with passengers, employees, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or transit personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe passenger activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
