Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company in North America, is hiring a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Cincinnati, OH. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents with a visible presence, and respond to situations professionally while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $20.50 per hour. You will work a set daytime schedule excluding weekends, participate in routine reporting, and support site safety programs.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving.
• Conduct regular armed patrols around the premises and perimeter; report observations.
• Monitor access points, visitors, and vehicles; enforce site protocols for entry/exit.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate incidents to appropriate personnel.

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:30 AM - 04:45 PM
• Wed: 07:30 AM - 04:45 PM
• Thur: 07:30 AM - 04:45 PM
• Fri: 07:30 AM - 04:45 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of access points, visitors, and/or vehicles, and support site protocols for entry and exit.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate incidents, observations, and/or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
