Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and inquiries in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of residential areas and entry points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and maintain awareness of people and vehicles entering or leaving the community.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to leadership and site management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, community policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential common areas, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity and maintain awareness of persons and vehicles entering or leaving the community, following established visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or corrections, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card/license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
