Responsibilities

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry as directed, while maintaining accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate observations, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
