Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post combines professional communication, customer service, and integrity while working with a reliable, agile team that puts people first.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, flight-line areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
