Job summary

Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver to serve government locations and other facilities. You will conduct routine armed patrols, deter incidents, and maintain a professional presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, an armed guard card, and the ability to work the Tue/Wed/Thu afternoon-evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license.
• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. • Tue 12:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Wed 12:45 PM - 11:15 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or activities according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with appropriate emergency responders and site contacts when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities, and maintain required equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
