Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Armed Patrol Driver) in Odessa, TX. You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service to clients and employees while upholding site policies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background check per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and competently, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols in retail store areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations per site procedures.
• Maintain daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs and handle equipment per policy.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail store areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain required documentation, including daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
