Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Tabor City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This armed and driving post involves interacting with staff and visitors, providing outstanding customer service, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, working together with integrity to create a secure environment where people come first.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while maintaining a visible presence.
• Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site policies.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of daily activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must possess a valid North Carolina armed security professional license.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions involving driving responsibilities.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
