Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel and emergency services.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization, documenting incidents and patrol activities per site policies.
• Maintain readiness and comply with laws, licensing, post orders, and procedures for armed patrols.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
• Maintain professional readiness and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and procedures related to the armed patrol assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
