  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

This job provides security for patients, guests, and employees as assigned, enforces company policies and procedures, and performs duties ensuring the security of all in a courteous and professional manner.

Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Required - 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military

Certifications

Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Valid driver’s license in the state of practice and a clean DMV report

Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training

International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire/promotion

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval.
  • Proficiency with Windows applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must report for duty in the event of a disaster as Team A Essential Personnel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to walk the company property, including outside areas and stairwells in an 11-floor plus structure.
Job Duties
  • Enforce all safety and security rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, reporting all occurrences promptly.
  • Perform opening/lockdown of all buildings as approved by Administration and other related duties.
  • Participate in emergency response and drills.
  • Maintain required certifications and complete training within designated timeframes.
  • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communicating effectively.
  • Perform other duties as required.
