Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Required: 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military

Certifications

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Valid driver’s license in the state of practice and a clean DMV report

Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) and firearms training

IAHSS Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire or promotion

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Proficiency with computer skills for data entry and retrieval
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to walk continuously on company property, including outdoor and multi-story areas

Job Duties

• Enforce safety and security policies on company property
• Conduct routine inspections of various locations
• Investigate incidents and report findings promptly
• Perform building opening/lockdown and participate in emergency drills
• Maintain certifications and complete training on schedule
• Adapt behavior to patient populations, respecting privacy and communication preferences
• Other duties as assigned
