Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment; verify access authorization and direct visitors as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; call for assistance when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and screening-related activities per site procedures.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver in Leesburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; verify access authorization and direct visitors as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; request additional assistance and notify appropriate personnel when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, screening‑related activities, and unusual occurrences in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
