Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Jacksonville, FL to provide reliable, flexible security coverage with anchored shifts and optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform. The role supports customer service, patrols, and incident response within client sites.

Eligible candidates must have armed security experience, a valid armed guard card, and a valid driver’s license; a background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and responding to incidents.
• Respond to alarms and critical situations following post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct armed patrols of facilities, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor and report hazards, access-control issues, and infrastructure concerns.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in compliance with policies.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Response Driver in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, substations, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, infrastructure concerns, access-control issues, and potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• A valid armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
