Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Driver Site Security in Signal Hill, CA. This part-time role focuses on mobile patrols and a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent service.

Shifts run Saturday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM and Sunday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $22.00 per hour. Candidates must meet armed-guard requirements and pass background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must possess an armed guard card or license.
• Six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal/state/local laws.
• Job requires drug screening as permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training participation.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies following established protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and assist with directions and information.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications per site rules.

In this primarily driving role, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Saturday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sunday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of public facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and maintain professional communication with site personnel and public-service partners.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
