Job summary

Allied Universal in Signal Hill, CA is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Driver Security Operations. You will serve government locations, patrol, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
