Security Officer - Armed Correctional Institution

We are hiring full-time and part-time Armed Security Guards in Laurinburg, NC. This role involves patrolling correctional facilities and ensuring security both inside and outside the premises. $21 / Hr with a $2,000 hiring bonus for candidates with an active Armed NCPPSB guard card.

Shift details: 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am). This role does NOT involve interaction with inmates.

Requirements: Applicants must be 21 or older, have a valid driver’s license in good standing, and be able to certify at range/obtain an active armed NCPPSB guard card. Prior experience in armed security, corrections, military, or law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by executing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises, with environments varying by site.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Subject to background checks and drug screening as per law.
• Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs.
• State and local licensing requirements may apply.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in good standing.
