Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with laws, licensing requirements and site procedures.

As a Security Officer Armed Banking Observant in New Haven, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:45 AM - 05:15 PM
• Sat 08:45 AM - 02:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
