Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Badge Systems in Delray Beach, FL to safeguard government facilities, manage entry points, verify credentials, and issue badges with a professional presence.

In this full-time role you will provide attentive customer service to visitors and staff, monitor access points and logs, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, and coordinate with law enforcement when needed, all while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with controlling visitor flow, directing individuals to appropriate locations, and communicating professionally with law enforcement, emergency responders, and site representatives when needed.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
