Security Officer - ARMED (3 Locations - FT On-Site, Testing Required)

Positions are available at three (3) separate locations, all full-time and on-site:

• GA Power Corporate Headquarters, 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA
• 755 Jefferson Street, Atlanta, GA
• 62 Lake Mirror Rd, Forest Park, GA

Note: The Security Team Lead will assign successful candidates to day (6A-6P) or night (6P-6A) shifts based on location needs.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years old.
• Must be available for shift work, holidays, overtime, inclement weather, and call-outs at designated locations.
• Must pass psychological, firearms qualification, physical, drug tests, and Internal Threat Program assessments.
• Must qualify annually with firearms and obtain/maintain a valid state firearm permit and driver’s license.
• Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience, with a clean driving record in the past 36 months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Protect personnel, assets, and interests using armed security tactics, screenings, and security event monitoring.
• Knowledge of security systems like Software House CCURE and Avigilon VMS is preferred.
• Maintain excellent communication, computer, and decision-making skills.
• Respond effectively to security events and coordinate with security teams.
• Perform physical activities and wear personal protective equipment as needed.

Additional Info:

• Must be able to qualify and re-qualify annually with firearms.
• Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing through the Georgia Secretary of State.
• Position may require use of Georgia Power fleet vehicle, with related driving record requirements.
