POSITION SUMMARY :

This armed position is under the direct supervision of the Manager for assigned high-profile site and performs a variety of security-related duties. You will observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, ensuring the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel.

As an armed officer, you may respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force, up to and including armed response, as dictated by the situation and protocol. You will also assist in maintaining order, enforce regulations and directives for the site, control access to the client site and facilities, monitor entrances and exits, and prevent unapproved or unlawful entry.

Some assignments may require patrolling on foot or in vehicle, checking for hazards or violations, protecting evidence or scenes of incidents, and preparing logs or reports. The role may involve stressful situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Perform duties related to security and safety, with specific tasks documented separately. Duties may vary and be modified according to business needs.
• Follow safe work practices, company policies, and procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Carry out all functions, duties, and tasks honestly, ethically, and professionally, in accordance with company policies.

Duties Include

• Control access to the site, preclude unauthorized access, assist visitors, and screen individuals for entry.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate escalation of force, maintaining proficiency with all equipment and weapons.
• Create a secure and respectful environment, providing courteous interactions and a positive image of the client and security team.
• Communicate openly and honestly, providing information as permitted.
• Monitor entrances/exits, control vehicle and pedestrian movement, operate access devices, and manage disturbances.
• Patrol the site, check for hazards, violations, and unauthorized persons, and inspect facilities.
• Protect evidence or scenes of incidents, set up barriers, and direct others as needed.
• Prepare logs and reports, and document incidents and observations.
• Report suspicious activity or incidents to appropriate authorities or management.
• Respond to various incidents following established procedures, including fire, medical, bomb threats, and environmental hazards.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship Preferred
• At least 21 years old

Education | Experience

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Armed Security/Law Enforcement experience OR honorable service with the US Armed Forces for two years.

Background Prerequisites

• Meet company standards for background checks, reference checks, drug testing, and physical and behavioral assessments, as well as licensing requirements.

Competencies include:

• Meeting licensing and permit requirements for armed security and weapons.
• Certification in CPR / AED and First Aid from recognized agencies.
• Knowledge of security procedures or ability to learn.
