Job summary

Prosegur Security USA, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a dedicated full-time Security Officer for the 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:00am) to protect people and property.

An active NC PPSB Armed Security License is required, and candidates must be able to carry a 9mm or .40 cal weapon with proper retention gear. You will monitor entrances and exits, patrol and respond to incidents, prepare detailed reports, and provide professional assistance to employees and visitors while upholding all company policies and

Qualifications

• Active NC PPSB Armed Security License required.
• Must possess a 9mm or .40 cal firearm with 3 magazines and level 2 retention holster.
• Must score 80% or higher on the NC PPSB armed guard qualification.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and climb stairs daily.
• Open availability for all shifts and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance/exit of employees, visitors to guard against theft.
• Circulate among visitors and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent hazards and infractions.
• Enforce rules and respond to emergencies requiring security assistance.
• Escort individuals as needed and write detailed DARs and reports.
• Provide courteous assistance and monitor for irregular activity.
• Secure facilities and enforce policies; investigate incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have an active NC PPSB Armed Security License
• MUST possess either a 9mm or 40cal semi-automatic firearm, 3 magazines, and at least a level 2 retention holster.
• MUST be able to score 80% or higher on the NC PPSB armed guard qualification.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
• Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have good communications skills
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
