Iron Mountain is seeking a vigilant Security Officer - Armed at the Boyers Underground Facility to protect employees, customers, and visitors while safeguarding assets. You will manage access control, monitor alarms and CCTV, and respond to emergencies with calm leadership.

The role requires security/military experience, strong communication, and the ability to carry and retain a weapon. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with PA residency.
• Act 235 Certification preferred; EMT/EMR encouraged.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or military environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control daily access of individuals and vehicles into the facility, with identification and authorization checks.
• Monitor security/fire alarm systems and CCTV assets; conduct roving patrols.
• Respond to alarms, breaches, and emergencies per procedures; coordinate with internal and public safety personnel.
• Document significant security or safety incidents and complete reports with high accuracy.
• Provide direction on compliance with facility rules and resolve threats quickly.

Iron Mountain is seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer - Armed to join our Security team at the Boyers Underground Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for Iron Mountain employees, customers, and visitors while protecting the physical and intangible assets of our unique underground facility.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

• Control the daily access of individuals and vehicles into the facility, ensuring all entrants are properly identified and authorized. This includes conducting property searches using x-ray equipment and magnetometers.
• Monitor security/fire alarm systems and CCTV assets. Conduct routine visual inspections of key locations through scheduled roving patrols both inside and outside the facility.
• Respond to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures. You will collaborate with internal departments and outside public safety personnel to facilitate emergency evacuations.
• Document significant security or safety incidents and complete departmental reports with high accuracy.
• Provide specific direction to individuals regarding compliance with facility rules and regulations, quickly assessing and resolving situations that may present a threat.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military environments is preferred.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage highly stressful situations with a calm demeanor.
• Must maintain an average to above-average level of physical fitness. You must be confident in your ability to carry a weapon and possess the physical strength to retain a weapon during a physical altercation.
• Licensing: A valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License with current PA residency is required.
• High School diploma or GED required (College degree preferred).
• Current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification is preferred; current EMT or EMR certifications are highly encouraged.

• Pay: Starting at $23.60/hr + 10% Shift Differential for Overnights, Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit
• Shift: Panama Schedule (2-2-3); Two Shift assignments available - 7AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM
