Responsibilities

HSS, a Tarian company, is currently looking for Security Officers to serve at major healthcare facilities. Our healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, patients, and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. They also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications of the Security Officer:

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to lbs., help restrain or lift a person
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet HSS, a Tarian Company’s driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)

Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting

Armed (Handgun) Qualifications:

• At least years of age
• Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a weapon
• Ability to pass the initial and semi-annual HSS, a Tarian Company-approved firearms training course to demonstrate proficiency in use of firearm
• Ability to participate and meet the requirements of additional firearms training at the discretion of the firearms instructor
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS, a Tarian company Firearms policies
