Job summary

PalAmerican Security is seeking an Armed Security Guard to maintain the safety of the assigned site through visible patrols and vigilant observation. You will enforce rules, monitor activity, and respond to incidents, ensuring a secure environment for visitors and staff.

Qualified candidates must hold PERC and relevant 40-Hour and Requalification certificates, provide their own firearm, vest, and Level 3 holster, and be at least 21 years old.

Job description

To be considered for the armed position, candidates must possess a valid PERC Card, a 40-Hour Training Certificate, and a current Requalification Certificate. Applicants are also required to provide their own firearm, bulletproof vest, and Level 3 holster.

The starting pay rate is $21.00 per hour, with an increase to $29.00 per hour upon receipt of the FOID card. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to meet the scheduling needs of the position.

Job Summary:

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols
• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Monitor closed-circuit television for potential issues

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
