Job summary

Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA, is seeking a Security Officer Alarm Systems Monitor. This part-time role monitors alarm systems and provides security for guests and staff in a hotel/resort environment.

You will patrol, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents while delivering friendly service. The position offers night shifts, a $21.00 per hour pay rate, and a focus on safety and guest experience.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• L icensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel public areas, guest corridors, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe hotel activity, reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrols, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to hotel management and Allied Universal leadership.
