Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Airport Access Control in Phoenix, AZ. You will deliver security and exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence and enforcing site policies.

Pay is $20.50 per hour with scheduled shifts Fri 9:00 PM–5:00 AM and Sun 9:00 PM–5:00 AM. Responsibilities include monitoring access, logging activities, and responding to incidents per government facility protocols.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable government facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
