As a Security Officer - Media Patrol in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting employees and visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will embody our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, working collaboratively with your team and always acting with integrity to support a positive environment for all individuals on site.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for unusual behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering the premises as required.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities or site management when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
