Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Incident Reporting in Cary, NC to protect students, staff, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and adhering to district protocols.

This full-time driving role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to monitor access points, conduct patrols, and promptly report incidents. You will utilize Allied Universal’s tools and follow established procedures to keep campuses safe.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age to apply.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Armed vs unarmed roles have different age requirements (18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner per school district protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter to identify hazards and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations and concerns to supervision and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Incident Reporting in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a public education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school district protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized persons or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
