Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer Patrol with an active DoD Secret clearance in Durham, NC. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, and monitor access to deter incidents while upholding site procedures with integrity.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subjects to background investigations per federal/state/local laws and a post-employment drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws; valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report access concerns or policy violations as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document observations with incident reports.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with site personnel.

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and responding to requests for security-related assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
