Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Support Driver in Sulphur, LA. You will manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service at a chemical/petrochemical location.

This is a full-time, day/evening schedule with shifts starting early morning. Ideal candidates have security experience and a valid license, and can lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in the state where job is located.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors and contractors per security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and issue badges.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, materials and deliveries as directed.
• Respond to incidents and notify site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Support Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and help support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor records, and control entry and exit in accordance with site requirements.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, materials, and deliveries as directed, and report access irregularities or prohibited items through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, business locations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
