Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery appointments per site requirements.
• Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors; maintain logs of arrivals, departures, and access activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify site contacts and leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery appointments in accordance with site requirements.
• Control access for commercial vehicles, employees, contractors, and visitors; maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and access‑related activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
