Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and document site access activity per client protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and communicate with site contacts and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site, including restricted areas and key zones.
• Support screening processes for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries to maintain controlled access and report unusual activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document site access activity in accordance with client-specific protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including restricted access areas and key operational zones, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Support security-related screening processes for personnel, vehicles, and/or deliveries to help maintain controlled access and report unusual activity or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the TSA is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
