Responsibilities

• Document daily activities and incidents using site logs and reporting tools.

As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. You will provide courteous customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional, security-related environment. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, delivery vehicles, and commercial traffic; verify credentials and maintain visitor and access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including building entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control issues accurately and promptly using site-required logs and reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
