Job summary

Allied Universal in Fairless Hills, PA is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Specialist to monitor entry points and verify credentials at a logistics location. You will maintain a visible presence, support a welcoming environment, and apply clear communication and customer service while upholding our values.

The role includes responding to incidents, patrolling access points and perimeters, and enforcing site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Control vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian access in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts and irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
