Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals per site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while completing reports and shift documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify irregular conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while completing required reports and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
