Job summary

Allied Universal in Mira Loma, CA, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Access Control to manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide exceptional customer service. The role offers a flexible schedule with day and night shifts and opportunities to use the Claim a Shift platform.

You will monitor access activity, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while upholding safety standards across our tech/telecom facilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $19.24 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access badges, and maintain accurate access logs.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused facilities, restricted areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Support adherence to site access requirements by directing visitors, coordinating with appropriate contacts, and documenting unusual activity and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
